Cold Laser:

Cold Laser therapy or low-level light therapy, is a painless, non-invasive, sterile, drug-free treatment, which uses specific wavelengths of light in the form of non-thermal photons, is transmitted through the layers of the skin, and does the following:

  • Improves blood circulation to relive pain.
  • Increases blood supply to stimulate the immune system.
  • Stimulates nerve function.
  • Promotes lymphatic drainage.
  • Reduces inflammation.
  • Helps with tissue repair by promoting faster wound healing due to an increase in the delivery of available oxygen and energy to the injured area.

Lumbar Decompression:

Lumbar decompression is decreasing the loading forces of the lumbar vertebrate, facilitated by use of a traction system (using a computer and long-lever fulcrums). This decompression gently seperates  the vertebrate, allowing the disc between the vertebrate to move back into alignment and to regain necessary fluid. This does the following:

  • Relieves pressure on disc and joints.
  • Provides pain relief.
  • Promotes blood and fluid flow.
  • Improves mobility.
  • Promotes good nerve function.
  • Improves natural healing.

Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim):

Interferential electro-therapy induces small to medium amounts of electrical impulses into the soft muscle tissue, creating a low-frequency stimulation which does the following:

  • Prompts the body to secrete endorphins and other natural pain killers.
  • Clears muscle congestion and balances the muscles.
  • Increase blood circulation, which produces pain relief and reduced swelling.
  • Promotes muscle tone.
  • Accelerates the healing process.

Ultrasound is a therapeutic treatment which transmits high frequency sound waves into the soft tissues, and it does the following:

  • Penetrates deep into the muscle tissue, creating a heat response.
  • Breaks down and disperses unhealthy bi-products of poor muscle contraction which create inflammation and swelling.
  • Increase blood flow.
  • Relaxes muscle spasm.
  • Massages damaged tissues.
  • Speeds the healing process.
